Well I own Halo and Halo 2 on the PC...
It's the other way around for me. I always get my value out of indie games (they are just so cheap). There have been plenty of AAA games that I don't think were worth 60 dollars. As a result, I buy most large games anymore when they get at least below 30 dollars.
Regardless, I agree that I wouldn't get a PS4 or Xbox One specifically for indies simply because the PC reigns king in that category (I love you Steam). However for those that don't use their PC a...

God games (hence LightofDarkness's pun). Look at Populous and the Black and White series.

You haven't talked to me enough then. I have managed to convince everyone where I work that the future that Oculus Rift is just beginning to provide is amazing.
That was my only real complaint for the DualShock 3. Thankfully those cheap $2 trigger attachments do wonders for the controller. Never had any issues since I attached them.
Now that I think about, I wonder why Sony never altered the triggers in the middle of the lifecycle? I wouldn't think changing one part in manufacturing would hurt them considering many would go out just to by the more trigger friendly controller.
This is similar to what Sony did with the PS3. Originally the OS used a lot of RAM preventing it from being used with games. As they reduced the memory footprint of the OS over the course of the generation, they gave the memory they reclaimed back to the developers.
I bet eventually Microsoft will allow developers to forego the Kinect requirement so that they can use all the processing power for graphics later on when Kinect has (possibly) ceased to be a talking point.
You still have a chance to buy it currently! Head over the Paypal site listed on the Kickstarter page. You can still back for the digital game at $20. Also, if you are feeling generous go help out the Shantae team at Wayforward. It would be great if they could also smash through some stretch goals.
If another company where to have released this I would have raised the same concerns more vocally. However, given the fact that Valve has a huge library of indie games that have traditionally been designed for dpads, I bet they have thought carefully about this design.
I am really interested in how the actuators might be implemented. I have a feeling you can use them to create virtual zones on that face of the pad that that can give a sense of buttons. Traditional rumble ...
The main issue I might have with this controller is its capability to play twitch platformers or fighters effectively. The pads make sense for FPS or 3rd person games, but I am skeptical of its ability for quick clicking action.
I know many of the modded controllers that are designed for speed place buttons on the back of the controller. Valve has done this also with a couple of buttons. Combos in fighters will be a little weird though, because they were actually designed ...
The music during the sun and moon puzzle near the end of the game was absolutely fantastic! It still sends chills down my spine.
I bet it's both. Intially a lot of games won't support Linux, so they implemented a streaming feature. Further down, I expect as long as the hardware that is running Steam OS is capable, we'll see all linux versions of games be playable on the OS natively.
Definitely look forward to dual booting this also. Hopefully this means driver support for linux will begin improving rapidly in the future if this takes off.
That's just a transitional feature. What Valve wants to see is the growth of Linux as an option for games. I often debate this with my friends. There really isn't much point in using Windows except for gaming. Most basic software has an equivalent on linux. Heck, most of the scientific and numerical software I often use is built for Linux also. There is little reason to value Windows over Linux.
Once the pixels disappear to your eye there really isn't a point to AA. When we start hitting 4k and beyond the need for AA will likely become less important in visual fidelity... that is unless you like to sit 6 inches from the monitor.
I was just about make comment along these lines. I hope Sega Sammy keeps Sega and Atlus more or less separate except when the two want to work together.

Yeah, people think it is just simple replacement of English, Spanish, German, etc. It takes a bit more effort when the runs the opposite direction of most Western languages and you have to tweak your platform so that it formats properly.
Yep. Assault on Dark Athena also includes a remastered Escape from Butcher's Bay.
PS Vita TV has incredible potential if they allow Gaikai on it. Rather than just being a TV version of the Vita, it can become a PSN portal that allows you to play practically any game on it. I bet that's why they are waiting to release it in the West. They probably want to market PS+ and PS Vita TV as a powerful duo.
@ssj27
Deep Do... I see what you did there... I think.

My friend bought recently built his new PC for just under 600 dollars. He plays most games at 1440p. I agree that maxing out a rig is wasteful, but you don't have to break the bank to have a more than capable PC that does more than just gaming.
